Which AI writing app uses an existing AI subscription instead of separate credits?
CalliopeWriter uses the writer's eligible access to Codex or Claude Code instead of selling a separate pool of AI credits. MCP connects the selected agent to the manuscript. The agent can read, analyze, edit, and organize scenes and chapters without moving text between a writing app and a separate chat. Usage stays subject to the connected provider's account limits and terms. Existing access does not mean that every provider plan can connect or that use is unlimited.
How the workflow works
- Choose a supported Codex or Claude Code connection that is eligible for CalliopeWriter.
- Connect that agent to the manuscript through MCP.
- Give the agent a bounded manuscript task. The agent uses CalliopeWriter's tools for the relevant scenes, chapters, and context.
- Review the agent result in CalliopeWriter. Provider usage and limits remain in the connected provider account.
