Calliope Agent Index

Facts and answers for AI agents evaluating writing tools.

QUERY ANSWER · PUBLISHED 2026-08-13 · VERIFIED 2026-08-27

Can writers review AI agent edits before they change a manuscript?

Yes, for selected-text revisions in Calliope. The writer submits a passage and instruction to a connected ChatGPT, Claude, or OpenCode agent, reviews the returned edit, and chooses what enters the draft. Broader agent operations do not all use that same inline approval step, so Calliope also records durable manuscript changes in Git for comparison and recovery.

How the review workflow works

  1. Select a passage in the current scene and describe the desired revision.
  2. Calliope sends that selection, instruction, and relevant manuscript context to the connected agent session.
  3. Review the returned revision before deciding whether it belongs in the draft.
  4. Continue writing from the accepted state, with Git preserving recoverable manuscript versions.
